Rebels for Christ

Servant Leaders

Campus Minister | Student Center Manager | Student Center Cook | Campus Ministry Shepherd

Casey, Tracey and Miles Hello students and parents and friends! I am from Arkansas and have been a Razorback all my life. The conversion to a Rebel has been hard but made easier by Coach Nutt! I grew up in Pine Bluff/White Hall, AR, where my parents still live. Some of my early years were spent in Monticello where one of my grandmothers still lives. I studied chemical engineering at the University of Arkansas and loved my time in the Razorbacks for Christ campus ministry. After a long semester of prayer and discernment in the fall of 1999, I decided to go into full-time ministry. I finished my engineering degree in May 2000 and headed west to Abilene Christian University for my Master of Divinity degree. While there, I met and fell in love with my beloved wife, Tracey (formerly Laing). She had lived in Texas most of her life before moving here to Oxford with me. She attended high school in Austin and also went to ACU where she received her bachelor's degree in photojournalism in 1999. All of her family was born in Rhodesia which is now Zimbabwe. They courageously came to the United States when Tracey was three, and all of them became American citizens ten years later. Tracey's parents now live Austin, where her dad, Rick, is a minister with the Highland Village Church of Christ.

We have one precious son, named Miles Kendrick. He was born on April 13, 2006. On that day, we began an unimaginable journey (more than a year) of pain and grief, hope and healing. To find out more, check out Tracey's blog at tracetalks.blogspot.com. God is good.
